GENDER ACTION PROGRAM (GAP)
Seeks an Inclusive democratic governance, and Gender equity and economic justice
GAP promotes inclusive democratic governance by advocating for popular participation of youth and women in both national and county governance; Ensure household access to productive resources and quality learning and increase youth access to productive resources through farmer associations, and encourage youth social engagement. These are done through women’s economic empowerment (loan scheme), gender and leadership training, advocacy, adult education and networking organizational (INGOs).
Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR)
To minimize the impact of conflicts & natural disasters on the communities
EPR Contributes to the overall conflict and disaster mitigation in Liberia, Maximize emergency preparedness in the counties where we are present; Respond effectively to humanitarian needs of the poor during emergency in the counties where we are present.
Based on need and comparative advantage, respond to humanitarian needs of the poor during emergency in the counties where we are not present organizational (INGOs).
Outreach for Change (OFC)
Works to improve equity in society
OFC crosscuts DEN-L program through popular education / forum theatre and radio engagement, OFC works to improve equity in society and awareness of the function of power and builds community and grassroots awareness of rights and responsibilities through dramas, songs, radio jingles, etc.
CIVIC ACTION PROGRAM (CAP)
Seeks to promote a sustainable, productive based, empowered communities, good governance and their CBOs achieving self-determination
It supports the development of institutional social capital and resource development for ensuring household access to productive resources and quality learning. In addition, it builds alliances, networks and forums, and identify appropriate agendas for situational research and pro-poor policy advocacy and at the same time advocacy at County level to promote accountability and influence judicious utilization of county and social development funds, and maintenance of the rule of law in every facets of our society. In addition, CAP supports and works with poor communities through diverse project actions. It believes that education, vocational skill building and organizational development are critical for local capacity enhancement and the empowerment of the poor. This can be strengthened by the creation of social development, peace building and democratization at community level with the support of joint non-state actors to stimulate change at the grassroot level.
CAP conducts governance and leadership trainings: we strengthen the civic competence of local communities and duty bearers for effective and interactive civic engagement. As a way of intervening in conflicts between and among local communities CAP carries out Sustained Dialogue Forums and Consultative Meetings. Through those meetings, the conflicting parties are brought together to listen to each other, examine the consequences of their actions and explore different possibilities for amicable resolution. CAP runs DELTA Training Program for staff of community-based organizations (CBOs) – youth, women and other social groups, faith-based organizations (FBOs), other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and international non-governmental organizational (INGOs).
